Who knew I was a natural born story teller? It's a discovery I made a few years ago, along with a passion to make my one of a kind barkcloth bags.

My Uncle Pete is my inspiration. Add to that my interest in bygone eras and all things vintage, and armed with my sewing machine, a stash of gorgeous barkcloth fabric I'd assembled over the years, and a desire to do something to honor my uncle's memory-I started sewing my bags.

I find it very exciting to take a piece of barkcloth that has traveled through time and distance and found its way to me, and from it craft a colorful and exceptionally well made piece of wearable art that will endure for years to come. The bags I create for you are always one of a kind, and always handmade by me.
